As a bonus for history buffs and Elvis fans alike, this humble shop also holds a piece of rock-and-roll and military history: the very barber chair where Elvis Presley received his induction haircut before entering the U.S. Army in 1958. Fort Chaffee marked the end of Elvis’s sideburns and the beginning of his service. “Hair today, gone tomorrow,” he famously quipped.
